Dr. Dell Gines is a national thought leader in entrepreneurship ecosystem building, a local economic development strategy that leverages entrepreneurship's power to create local economic growth. His specific focus is on communities of color and economically distressed small rural communities. He has authored seven guides and one eBook on the subject. His most notable work is a 2018 research report on Black women business startups, cited in PBS, Forbes, Black Enterprise, CNN Business, and Entrepreneur magazine. He is also a well-traveled speaker, speaking in over 24 states and 50 cities, often serving as a keynote in rural and urban conferences.
Dell is one of less than 5,500 Certified Economic Developers (CEcD) and has holds and Masters of Business Administration, a Masters of Finance, and Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska School of Public Administration.
